Allan Van Landuyt for Merrimac Town Board

I am running for Town Board Supervisor #1 because:

• I want to ensure the Town of Merrimac, the area my wife and I have been visiting for over 25 and chose to make our residence upon retirement,  remains unchanged.
• I believe diversity of leadership will benefit our community with better outcomes. Other candidates on the April ballot are Long-term,  generational residents of Town of Merrimac concentrated in the bluff areas.  Our leadership should represent all areas of Merrimac comprised of both new and longer term community members just like our township residents.
• After a career, where I started and ran my own business for over 27 years while raising my family,  I am ready to give back to the community I reside in.   I am at a point where I have the time and  want to be involved and available for our residents and businesses.  

• Preserve the Merrimac we live in and enjoy today
• Support Local Business to ensure they flourish and remain in Merrimac
• Increase Transparency with residents and businesses 
• Ensure Fiscal Responsibility by spending only what is needed to maintain low taxes

I started and ran my own landscape business for over 27 years before selling to a competitor.  Running my own business helped me develop strong communication skills,  solid decision making abilities and financial awareness.  I have volunteered for many different organizations in the Merrimac area and gotten to know many residents and the area. I have become involved as a zoning member of the Town of Merrimac and have attended over 90% of monthly Town Board meetings since 2022. My early working years have exposed me to public works and I grew up in  family which has a history of being employed in the public sector.
